Heavy-duty dewatering channel Ferro Magna

The best of two material worlds

  • robust construction: combination of hot-dip galvanised steel and/or stainless steel alongside high-performance plastic
  • lower weight despite high load class (can be installed by one person)
  • offsets static and dynamic loads
  • ideal for areas exposed to traffic
  • easy handling thanks to integrated connectors
  • individual custom measurements possible on request

Courtyard surfaces, access ramps and garage entrances are exposed to high loads every day that also bear down on the installed dewatering systems. High-performance plastic inserts placed in the channel body of our Ferro Magna together with the use of crossbars make sure vertical and horizontal forces are safely and permanently diverted. Thanks to its robust construction, the channel reliably absorbs static and dynamic loads caused by moving vehicles. Encasing the plastic elements within the channel bodies keeps them protected against UV radiation. The ends of the plastic inserts double as plug-in connectors, making for a secure and quick installation of the channels. With its combined properties, the Ferro Magna conforms to DIN EN 1433, which sets standards for drainage channels used in vehicular and pedestrian areas. Depending on the model, it also satisfies the load class requirements of up to D 400.

The channel is installed in a concrete foundation, just like its conventional counterparts. It differs, however, in terms of handling: weighing just a quarter of comparable concrete channels in the same format, easy handling at the construction site is guaranteed. Even DN 150 channel bodies categorised under load class D 400 weigh just 13.5 kilograms and can be installed by one person without the need for additional tools.
We produce the Ferro Magna heavy-duty dewatering channel for load classes C 250 and D 400, and in a standard length of 1,000 millimetres. Bespoke channels with custom measurements can also be made at short notice.
