Reliable drainage is a necessity where large amounts of precipitation fall in front of façades. Only then are external walls safely protected from moisture getting in. Richard Brink has developed the Stabile Air drainage channel specifically with this in mind. It is completely made from stainless steel or hot-dip galvanised steel. The side of the channel running along the façade has openings across it, ensuring that each section is sufficiently ventilated. The inner side is tilted inwards to prevent water from pooling. The distance to the wall connection also prevents capillary formation. As a result, rainwater that would otherwise damage insulation and plaster does not rise.
Extendible as desired
The metal products manufacturer makes the Stabile Air in a length of 1,000mm as standard; single-part channels can be up to 3,000mm long. Since the products can be put together without connectors, the system can be extended as much as desired. The channels have a height of 170mm. The standard inlet widths are either 140mm or 200mm. Richard Brink also manufactures the drainage channel as a custom-made product to the client’s specification. It can be combined with any gratings in the company’s product range. Together with the elegant designer gratings from Richard Brink, this drainage system becomes not just a functional element but also a visual highlight on any façade.
